Smokey Red Lentil

9 Mar 2017

I think it is expected that when you get married your lives become so entangled that in most areas you are one/a team/united front. There might be some lingering, unspoken this is "mine", that's "yours" on personal items, but really it's all "ours" for the most part. I don't really think about this until certain incidents occur like let's say a Darth Vader baby window blind suddenly appears in "MY" car.

I didn't even care because my hubs nerd love of all things Star Wars goes deep and perhaps he was trying to brainwash the baby early...that is I didn't care up until the point that some strange dude drives up beside me and starts excitedly pointing at Darth Vader and giving me a thumbs up.

No, no, just no...I am a female in IT I really do not need more nerd fists of solidarity in my life. Also, I hate to disappoint this person, but I am not a Star Wars "person" or a hardcore fan of really anything, except maybe sleep...exotic travel...cake? So needless to say, Darth is history...that is as soon as I get another baby window blind (fist shakes the sky).

Anyhoo, below is a SUPER easy lentil stew of sorts, it will save you time if you perhaps need some extra to go buy a d*mn baby window blind. I have both sous vide and traditional instructions below. I serve it over cheesy polenta or toast and also it freezes really well.
